Procedure for retracting published articles
In the event that there has been a violation of the rules, or if the necessary corrections have been made to the publication, the editorial board considers various cases, following the relevant recommendations of COPE.
General provisions
1.1. This procedure establishes the procedure for recalling articles published in the collection of scientific papers "Cutting and Tools in Technological Systems".
1.2. The purpose of retracting articles is to correct the published information and ensure the integrity of scientific publications.
1.3. Recall of articles can be initiated by the authors, editorial board of the journal, readers or authorized persons.
Grounds for retracting the article
2.1. The fact of plagiarism or illegal borrowing of materials has been established.
2.2. The presence of significant errors in the study, which make its results incorrect.
2.3. Duplicate publication of the same material without proper reference.
2.4. Falsification or manipulation of data.
2.5. Lack of disclosure of conflicts of interest, which affects the interpretation of results.
2.6. Identification of serious violations of ethical norms during the study.
2.7. Detection of facts of unauthorized (without reference or justification) use of artificial intelligence technologies when writing an article or generating tables or other graphic material.
Procedure for initiating the withdrawal of an article
3.1. The person initiating the revocation of the article shall submit a written application with justification of the reasons for the revocation.
3.2. The application shall be accompanied by evidence confirming the need to withdraw the article.
3.3. The application is considered by the editor-in-chief within 7 working days.
Consideration of the issue of retracting the article
4.1. The Editor-in-Chief shall establish a commission of three independent experts.
4.2. The Commission conducts a comprehensive analysis of the material and evidence.
4.3. The authors of the article are given the opportunity to provide their explanations.
4.4. The term of consideration is no more than 30 calendar days.
Decision making
5.1. The Commission may make one of the following decisions:
- Reject the request to withdraw the article
- Invite authors to publish corrections
- Recommend a full retraction of the article
5.2. The decision is made by the majority of votes of the commission members.
Registration of the retraction of the article
6.1. In case of a decision on recall:
- The article is marked as "retracted" in all versions of the collection
- A notice of retraction of the article is published, indicating the reasons
- The message contains a link to the original article
6.2. Format of notification of the withdrawal of the article:
- Clear "Recall Notice" header
- Bibliographic data of the original article
- Detailed justification of the reasons for the recall
- Date of entry into force of the decision
Consequences of retracting an article
7.1. The retracted article remains in the archive of the journal with the appropriate designation.
7.2. The following shall be notified of the withdrawal of the article:
- Authors of the article
- Indexing databases
- Interested scientific community
7.3. Information about the retraction of the article is published in the next issue of the collection.
Authors' rights
8.1. Authors have the right to:
- Get a detailed justification for the decision to withdraw the article
- Appeal against the decision of the commission
- Publish a comment on the decision to withdraw the article
8.2. The appeal shall be considered by the Editor-in-Chief within 14 days.
